Every successful entrepreneur in affiliate marketing is continually seeking that niche market that results in the largest paycheck. Those who are new to affiliate marketing often think there’s a magic formula that is readily available to them. Actually, it’s a little more complicated than that. It requires the implementation of good marketing methods which have been proven over years of hard work and dedication. These proven marketing methods have worked before with making money online and are continuing to work in affiliate programs today.

Try these three top affiliate marketing methods, and you too can be successful at making money online.

What are these three affiliate marketing methods?

1. Use unique web pages to promote each separate product.

Don’t lump all products and information together just to save some money on web hosting. It’s best to have one site focusing on each and every product and nothing more.

Always include product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial understanding of what the product can do for them. Include testimonials from users who have already tried the product. Make certain that these customers are willing to allow you to use their names and photos on the site of the specific product you are marketing.

Write articles highlighting the uses or advantages of the product and include them on the website as an additional page. Make the pages attractive and compelling and include calls to action (ask for the sale!). Each headline should draw in the readers, making them anxious to try the product, to read more, and even to contact you. Highlight your special points to help your readers see the benefits to them and want to learn more.

2. Offer free reports to your readers.

Position the offer (an opt-in box to get their name and email address) at the very top right side of your page so it simply cannot be missed. Create follow-up autoresponder messages for your affiliate program that will be mailed to those who input their personal information into your opt-in box. According to most statistics, a sale is closed on average on the seventh contact with a prospect, so you want to collect their contact information so you can keep in touch with them after they receive their free report.

Only two things are possible with a web page alone — either you close the sale, or the prospect leaves the page never to return! By placing information of value into their inboxes at specified intervals, you will remind them repeatedly of the product they thought they wanted , which can later result in a closed sale. Make sure that the content is directed toward specific reasons about why the product offers a benefit to them. Do not make it sound like a sales pitch.

Focus on points such as how your product will make their life easier, how it will make their life more enjoyable, how it will give them more free time, how it will save them money, etc. — whatever is appropriate for your product. Include compelling subject lines in the email. Avoid the use of the word “free” in your subject line, because many spam filters delete that type of content before anyone can even read it. Convince those who opt-in for your free report that they will be missing something big if they do not avail themselves of your products and services.

3. Get traffic which is targeted to your product.

Obviously, if the person who visited your website has no interest in your offer, they will immediately move on and likely never return. To attract those who do have an interest in your product, locate publications that focus on your target customers and write articles for publication which might just grab their interest. Do a Google search for article directories and submit your articles to those directories.

Write a minimum of 2 articles per week, at least 300-600 words in length. By continuously writing and maintaining these articles you can generate many targeted readers to your site in a day, and the more articles you write, the more targeted readers you will attract.

As with any new business, even an online business, there are many details to attend to in order to get things up and running. While an internet marketing business has far fewer requirements than a brick-and-mortar business, don’t think you will get off that easy. It still requires some work.

Entrepreneurship in its bland definition is someone who organizes, manages and assumes the risks of a business or enterprise. 4. Passion – Another crucial trait of an entrepreneur is having a passion for his business or project. Passion and enthusiasm can be infectious and will go a long ways in inspiring others to share his vision and join him in his endeavors. As long as he maintains the right drive and passion, he can continue to keep the momentum going for a successful business.

5. Risk-Taker – This is a very important trait of an entrepreneur. In the everyday course of his business, he will face problems and challenges which require a quick, firm decision. A successful entrepreneur does not fear venturing outside his safety zone; however, he doesn’t take risks blindly. By properly calculating the risks, he can determine if the risks are worth taking and whether or not the risk will benefit the business. Some risks are worth taking, after careful consideration, but if you’re not a risk taker, then you will easily give in to any problems or obstacles. 6. Energetic – A successful entrepreneur must be willing to work tirelessly and do whatever it takes to reach the finish line. He must sustain the drive to achieve his highest level of performance to accomplish his next goal.

Stability – In order to handle tough situations, meet deadlines, make critical decisions, and maintain his physical, mental, social and emotional equilibrium in a fast-paced environment, during good times as well as tough times, a successful entrepreneur must have a stable life. He must make the same effort to eat well, get enough sleep, and watch his health issues as he does in watching over his business.

8. Honest/Trustworthy – This may be the absolute most important of all the traits of an entrepreneur. He has to be honest and trustworthy at all times in order to gain and maintain good will with his customers, suppliers and staff. If the entrepreneur is found to be dishonest in any of his dealings, then none of the rest will even matter.

Embarking on an entrepreneurial venture is an exciting and challenging task. If you have, or can develop, the necessary traits of an entrepreneur, then you can make your business dreams come true. First of all, let’s clear one thing up right now….affiliate marketing programs can absolutely be a real online money maker….but, they are not a quick and easy free ride to unimaginable riches. Sorry.
